Abeokuta, October 26, 2025 —— The Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, on Sunday in Abeokuta urged football fans in the state capital city and beyond to come out and support the Super Falcons on Tuesday.
The Super Falcons, the country’s senior women’s national football team, will be striving for victory with an exciting display of football against their counterparts from Benin Republic.
The match is the second leg tie of their final round fixture in the qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Morocco in March.
The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the M.K.O. Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta with the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, scheduled to be among those cheering the team.
Already, the Falcons have almost completed the job, having secured a 2-0 victory over their opponents on Friday, October 24, in the first leg match played in Lomé, Togo.
“The job of qualifying for the chance to go to Morocco next year is almost done, but it is still not yet over.
”We must come come out to give our full support to the team, so that we can show the rest of the country how supportive and receptive we are,” Isiaka said.
