Team Bayelsa lead after Day 3 at Gateway Games

Abeokuta, May 21, 2025 (CrestNewsOnline) Team Bayelsa were leading the pack after the third day of competitive action at the 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF) on Tuesday.

The medals table released late Tuesday night showed Bayelsa had gathered a total of nine medals, comprising six gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.

They were followed by Team Oyo with a total of six medals, of which four are gold, one silver and one bronze.

Lagos were third on the table after Tuesday”s events, with three gold, four silver and three bronze medals.

Cross River were in fourth place with three gold medals, while Rivers complete the top five placings with two gold, three silver and one bronze.

The Invited Junior Athletes (IJA) are occupying the sixth position with two gold medals, one silver and one bronze medals.

Defending champions Delta are a distant seventh so far with just one gold, one silver and one bronze medals.

So far, a total of 71 medals have been won at the Games which began on Sunday, with 23 being gold, 23 silver and 25 bronze.

The Games continue on Wednesday, with competition in the various sports.
